Two of the most talked-about smartphones of 2025 — the iPhone 18 Pro and the Samsung Galaxy S26 5G — are both available at Axelrod Phones. But which one should you choose? Here’s our honest comparison.
Price Comparison
The S26 is exactly half the price of the iPhone 18 Pro. That’s a significant difference — enough to buy two S26 units for the price of one Pro. Price alone will guide many buyers in Kenya.
Display
The iPhone 18 Pro features a 6.3-inch Super Retina XDR OLED with ProMotion 120Hz — widely considered the best mobile display available. The Galaxy S26 brings a 6.2-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X with 120Hz and a staggering 2600 nits of brightness — outstanding outdoors. Both are exceptional; the S26 edges it in peak brightness while the iPhone leads in colour accuracy.
Camera
Both phones shoot stunning photos and videos, but they take different approaches. The iPhone 18 Pro excels in video — cinematic stabilisation, 4K120fps — making it the top choice for content creators and videographers. The Galaxy S26 leads in photo versatility and AI-assisted photography, with ProVisual Engine enhancing every shot automatically.
Performance
Apple’s A18 Pro chip in the iPhone 18 Pro is the fastest mobile chip in the world by benchmark. Samsung’s Snapdragon 8 Elite in the S26 is no slouch — it’s blazing fast for everyday use and gaming. In real-world use, both phones handle everything you throw at them without breaking a sweat.
Battery Life
The Galaxy S26 has a 4,000mAh battery that charges at 25W. The iPhone 18 Pro offers up to 27 hours of video playback. For heavy users, the iPhone Pro Max (KSh 245,000) offers the very best battery in the Apple lineup.
After-Sales in Kenya
Both brands have authorised service support in Nairobi. Axelrod Phones provides post-purchase support for every device we sell, regardless of brand.
Verdict
- Choose the iPhone 18 Pro if you’re in the Apple ecosystem, shoot a lot of video, or want the absolute best display and chip money can buy.
- Choose the Galaxy S26 if you want flagship performance at half the price, prefer Android, or want the best outdoor display and AI camera features.
Both phones are in stock at Axelrod Phones — genuine, sealed, warranty included.
